No appointment is required, as it is on a first come first serve basis, but if you need to get your ultrasound or procedure done by any particular doctor, then you need to confirm their availability before you visit either clinic.
The best time to avoid a long wait is in the early mornings, but if you want to visit our clinics in the evening, we kindly request you arrive at least one hour before closing time.
Adults Whole abdomen/Upper abdomen 4 to 6 hours fasting. Water can be taken. OBS and GYN-Acreta patients are advised to drink 2 to 4 glasses of water, 1 to 2 hours prior to examination and must have full bladder.
Whole abdomen/upper abdomen for new-born babies, requires one hour fasting after feeding.
Gall bladder patients are advised not to eat 6 to 8 hrs prior to examination but can drink water.
Drink 2 glasses of water before coming and don't urinate till ultrasound is done.
Drink 2 to 3 glasses of water and don't urinate.
(Procedures only in morning timings) The procedure should be done 1 or 2 days after complete cessation of menstrual cycle. A course of antibiotics may be prescribed prior to the test depending on your referring provider's recommendations. You can eat and drink. Preferably a light breakfast can be taken before the procedure.
Obstetrics: only in first 3 months 3-4 glasses of water 2 hours prior. Gynaecology: 3-4 glasses 2 hours prior to ultrasound.
