X-RAYS
X-ray is an imaging technique that uses radiation to create pictures of your body. X-ray of almost any part of the body can be taken. The picture is then reported by a radiologist.
ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound is a safe imaging modality that can be done many times to detect diseases without any risk. It uses high frequency sound waves to look inside almost any part of the body and produce images of it.
MAMMOGRAPHY
Mammography is a technique that uses X-ray to diagnose breast cancer. It uses radiation similar to x-ray to produce images of the breast. It looks for early signs of breast cancer. At our centre we also teach breast self-examination. Every patient who comes for breast cancer screening gets an additional free of cost ultrasound of the breast to improve the detection of breast diseases.
3D & 4D ULTRASOUND
3D is a 3-dimensional colour picture of your baby in uterus and 4D is a video of the 3D.
It is a safe and reliable technique to rule out fetal anomalies. The advanced technology of 3D has made possible the identification of subtle fetal abnormalities such as cleft lip/palate or club foot which may be missed by conventional ultrasound.
IMAGING OF FEMALE INFERTILITY
TUC is the only centre that performs Saline Sonohysterogram, Contrast Hysterosalpingogram & X-ray Hysterosalpingogram.
Tanveer Ultrasound Clinic (TUC) is the most equipped ultrasound facility in Karachi to perform procedures for female reproductive tract and diagnose causes of infertility. As part of the workup for infertility, TUC performs Ultrasound for follicular study and all types of procedures for tubal patency.

SALINE SONOHYSTEROGRAM
Saline is infused in uterine cavity to detect polyps, adhesions and indirectly tubal patency.
SALINE SONOHYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM
As Saline is infused in uterine cavity, transvaginal ultrasound is used to detect if there are polyp in uterus and if tubes are patent.
CONTRAST SONOHYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM
As contrast is infused in uterine cavity transvaginal ultrasound is used to detect if the tubes are patent.
XRAY / FLUROSCOPIC HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM
As contrast is infused in uterine cavity, x-ray is used to obtain films evaluating the uterine cavity, tubes and patency.
LABORATORY
TUC also has affiliation with reputable laboratories at both centres that provide urgent reporting.
